HER Programmes

Her Community provides structured preventative wellbeing programmes specifically designed around girls' and women's confidence, identity, emotional wellbeing and relationships to help develop positive, lasting relationships with themselves and others.

HerCommunity C.I.C. provides structured, preventative wellbeing programmes designed to support girls and women to thrive. Our programmes focus on confidence, identity, emotional wellbeing, relationships and belonging, creating safe and empowering spaces where participants can be heard, supported and encouraged to reach their potential.

Grounded in evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches, our programmes combine creative activities, wellbeing education, group discussion, practical coping strategies and physical activity to promote positive mental health and resilience. Through initiatives such as Her Mind Matters, Reclaim Her, and Her Movement for Wellbeing, participants build confidence, strengthen social connections, develop healthy coping skills and discover new ways to support their wellbeing.

Whether through confidence-building workshops, mentoring, creative expression, wellbeing walks, or ladies-only physical activity sessions, our programmes help girls and women develop self-belief, improve emotional wellbeing and create positive, lasting change in their lives.

Our aim is simple: to help every girl and woman feel confident, connected, empowered and able to thrive.

'Reclaim Her'

Women's Confidence & Empowerment Programme

An early intervention, prevention and empowerment programme for young women aged 16+ in the UK

Overview

Reclaim Her supports young women aged 16-25 who have experienced or are currently navigating experiences of unhealthy relationships, low self-worth, long-term patterns of people-pleasing and self-abandonment. The programme focuses on helping women build or rebuild their self-worth, emotional awareness, confidence and develop healthier relationship patterns and choices. Reclaim Her is a preventative, psychoeducational empowerment programme for young women aged 16-25. It bridges the gap between universal wellbeing support and specialist services by helping young women recognise relationship patterns, strengthen boundaries, and build healthier connections before challenges escalate.

What makes this programme different to other services offered in the local community?

Many services understandably focus on:

  • Crisis intervention

  • Emergency accommodation

  • Advocacy

  • Legal support

  • Immediate safety planning

Reclaim Her differentiates itself by sitting in the space before crisis: helping young women understand why they may accept unhealthy dynamics, how past experiences shape choices, and how to rebuild a sense of self.

The programme focuses on the why behind relationship patterns, exploring questions such as:

1. Why do I ignore red flags?

2. Why do I feel responsible for other people's emotions?

3. Why do I struggle to say no?

4. Why do I confuse intensity with connection?

5. How do my early experiences influence my relationships?

Instead of asking the young women, "what happened to you?" The programme asks, "what have you learned about yourself and relationships, and what do you want to change?"
